Everything in our solar system was once a part of a massive singular object left over from the remains of a long dead star (star stuff). With this suite, I'm exploring the start, evolution, ending, and restarting of life on this planet. The melody and harmony that the first form in Movement I continue to evolve throughout all three movements.
Life slowly emerges for the first time in its most simple form and beings the trial and error process of evolution. As the piece unfolds, it becomes more and more complex as melodies and soloists compete for the survival of the fittest.
