NASA launched a mission in 2021 to study the formation of our solar system. Lucy, the mission name, comes from the fossilized human ancestor (called "Lucy" by her discoverers) which provided unique insights into our own evolution. As a part of this mission, NASA put out a call to artists to take part in their "Lucy Soundscape," in which they challenged artists to interpret and reimagine their three-note melody of "Lucy-Motif" (up a Major 7th, down a Major 2nd). Resistance for me, was futile. This is my contribution to that soundscape.
