With accretion started, particles move chaotically, bumping into one another creating small and simple clumps. The concept is musically represented by simple independently moving intervals that come together to form rudimentary melodies. Those clumps become larger and more dense, which pull in even more of the surrounding material, eventually pulling in over 99% of the nebula to form and ignite our Sun.
