Like Rise, Tide, Rise, Unjaded Hero is an instrumental version of a composition that originally included lyrics. The lyrics praise an unidentified female superhero’s consistency in displaying her prowess. Her most notable trait is not her heroism, but the persistent and reliable way in which she applies it without becoming jaded. The snakey and angular harmonic movement and forward-pulsing melody attempt to capture this quality.

This album captivated me quickly. The listener can hear the high energy of New York through their instrumentation and I love It! One example of this I throughly enjoy is their implementation of accelerando (speeding up the tempo) throughout songs. If you enjoy contemporary jazz this album is worth your attention.
